Approved and Ready to Go

After more than 18 years, Basic Remediation Company (BRC) has received all necessary approvals from several crucial public agencies, including Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP), the City of Henderson and Clark County.  The following are major milestones in the approval process, which were critical for the project to move forward.

July,  2007, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) approves the plan for the Corrective Action Management Unit (CAMU).

August 16, 2007, Henderson Planning Commission approves LandWell's development agreement.

October 2007, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) approves the Closure Plan, which is the key planning document needed to begin remediating the site.

October 2, 2007, Henderson City Council approves LandWell's development agreement.

October 16, 2007, Henderson Redevelopment Agency approves LandWell's redevelopment agreement.

In total, NDEP reviewed and approved more than 100 documents, plans and reports related to the testing, remediation and development of the 2,200-acre site.
